MANAGER OF KEY STAGE 3 OUTREACH

Key Stage 3 Outreach is part of the KS3 alternative provision offer within the College. The provision includes three main programmes:
• KS3 Interim educating up to 16 students who have been permanently excluded or at high risk of exclusion from local mainstream schools, with the aim of returning pupils to mainstream schools.
• HPTC, a 4 week intervention programme based in self-management enabling up to 10 pupils to develop the skills needed to maintain their mainstream provision.
• Momentum, a 2 week KS3 & 4 intervention programme for up to 6 pupils to further develop their self-management skills and remain in a mainstream setting.
We require an inspirational leader to become Manager of KS3 Outreach and support the Senior Leadership Team to develop the provision by ensuring every young person can be a success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in middle leadership with an intuitive understanding of complex young people, their needs and how best to support them. The role will include ensuring the smooth day to day management of the centre and also play an important role in leading the future development and expansion of the College, at an exciting time.
The successful post holder will lead and manage a staff team of 12, with support from the programme leads and have a strong understanding of the Quality of Education to raise standards of learner achievement across the curriculum. They will also ensure that the provision offers a broad, balanced, relevant, motivating and differentiated curriculum for all learners, as well as monitoring learner attendance and ensuring that behaviour management systems and procedures in place are monitored and consistently adhered to. The post holder will naturally fit into the wider ethos of Haybrook College and bring positivity, creativity, enthusiasm and innovation to the staff, whilst being kind, patient, caring and forgiving to the learners. Pupil voice is extremely important to us and we seek to encourage and develop this in all our young people.

You must be a qualified teacher (or willing to work towards this for an exceptional candidate) with proven experience of middle/senior leadership, experience of working effectively with children who have Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties either in a special school, PRU, alternative education provision or within a mainstream setting.
Salary: Leadership Scale Point 3 – 7, £44,275 – £48,844 per annum, London Fringe
